You can volunteer anything from a few hours to a few days a week…

The Amsterdam Food Bank values any contribution you can make, your time and skills could be just what we need. And we want you to enjoy volunteering. There are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis. We can always use volunteers for:

Our warehouse: we sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients. You could help is vital as your work ensures our continuity
Our uitgiftepunten (food bank pick-up locations in town): meet clients and weekly hand out food parcels
Our supermarket collections:help us at supermarkets to encourage clients to donate perishable food
Drivers: we drive around town to collect food donations and we also drive around town to deliver weekly packages. All drivers must be have the appropriate drivers license: type B, BE or CE (code 95 for trucks)
A variety of activities for few hours, e.g. packing food parcels: check our activity calender Our activity calender shows all volunteer activities. These activities are usually a just a few hours. Simply login, select date and activity and apply. If you do not have an account, here’s the link to set up an account.
